Cosmopolitan Cosmos

Cosmopolitan Cosmos

I am a fool to the passage

The only way is out

Out of the world out of your time

When all of our debts are erased

And we are in a lived moment

of the erasure

It was a beautiful affair

Only we confused history with literature

And drank cosmopolitans until we passed out

Into another borrowed dimension

The dimension is you

Swift like a toy train

Well-rounded like a Russian doll

I wish you didn't smudge matcha

on your pink and white wool scarf

We just kept getting more and more kept

Maybe there is no looking away

Maybe there is no looking back

You had your aria and incense

There is a lot of longing

On a Wednesday morning

Let's just get lost on the Tuesday

Let's just get lost on the game...
